Have an interest in investing but have absolutely no idea where to start? Don’t worry, SFU FINSA’s got you covered! With the number of resources available online nowadays, there is a lot of contradicting information that makes everything confusing. Information overload is a real issue, and it often makes investing a lot more intimidating than it really is. Worry not, as we are thrilled to present Investing 101, a FREE workshop catered towards ANYONE with little to no knowledge of investing. Our workshop features seasoned industry professionals with backgrounds in wealth planning and portfolio management, ensuring that the information that is presented comes from trusted sources. Financial literacy is extremely important, and FINSA aims to educate students about anything and everything finance related. Investing 101 will cover all the basics that will help you get started with investing and wealth management, as well as a more in-depth look at different financial topics.

The 3 main components covered are as follows:

Foundations of Investing
Essentials of Wealth Management
Available tools and resources to assist in starting your financial journey

Investing 101 will be held via a hybrid format; Zoom and in-person. However, it is important to note that in-person seats are limited, so register ASAP! There is no capacity limit for the Zoom session.
